Kathryn L Jones' Obituary
Kathryn L. Jones, 58, of Effingham, died at 2:45 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2012 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Kathryn was born August 9, 1953 in Paris, the daughter of Richard and Maxine (Stumborg) Cox. She married Duane Jones on February 9, 1974 and he preceded her in death in 2005. Kathryn was a former board member for the Watson Homecoming Celebration. She was working as a seamstress, doing repair and alterations at Wiedman's Cleaners in Effingham.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Chrappa of Effingham; two grandchildren, Micaela and Alexis; mother, Maxine Stumborg of Wildwood, Florida; two brothers, James (Patricia) Cox of Oak Brook and Joe (Janet) Cox of Bushnell, Florida; special friend, Randy Sparks.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, husband and one son, Jason.
