Wilma Loraine Davis, 88, of Effingham died Friday morning, Nov. 5, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation is from noon until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 18, 1922, in Sullivan, the daughter of Ora and Bessie Colclasure. She married Loel F. "Dave" Davis on June 13, 1949.

Wilma loved to care for others and spent many years caring for and comforting the ill. She loved to vacation in Florida and spend time with family and friends. Wilma will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include daughter, Sharon (Charles) Werner; sisters, Pauline Briney, Corma Cox and Marge Milchman; grandchildren, David McCormick, Susan (Brian) McDonald and Patrick McCormick; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Adam and Taylor McDonald; many nieces and nephews; and two great-nephews, Paul and Mark Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Loel; three sisters, Rosie Carter, Lucille Field and Irma Jean Lotti; and one brother, Gerald Colclasure.
