Obituary

Wilbert A. Ruholl, 77 of Teutopolis, passed away Wednesday evening, August 16, 2017 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the church, with a 5:30 p.m. parish prayer service and a 7:00 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.

Wilbert was born April 23, 1940 in Effingham, the son of Clem and Rose (Rieman) Ruholl. He married Marian C. Drees on September 7, 1963 and she preceded him in death on March 30, 1984. Wilbert was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis and a bus driver for Teutopolis Unit 50 Schools for many years. He enjoyed farming and owned his own sawmill.

Wilbert is survived by his son, Clem (Kate) Ruholl of Teutopolis; two daughters, Ruth Ann (Troy) Davis of Watson and Sharon (Glen) Waldhoff of Teutopolis; three brothers, Henry (Alice) Ruholl of Teutopolis, Robert (Jane) Ruholl of Teutopolis and James (Debbie) Ruholl of Farina; three sisters, Helen Walker of Effingham, Verena Kreke of Effingham and Mary Lou (James) Vonderheide of Stewardson; sister-in-law, Norma Ruholl of Teutopolis; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Norbert, Albert and Raymond Ruholl; sisters, Elsie Sur, Eleanor Koester and Rosemary Hille.
