Virginia A. "Ginger" Ziegler, age 71, of Plano, TX, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 5-7pm in Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th St., Plano, TX 75075. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, 1701 E. Park Blvd, Plano, TX 75074. Interment will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Effingham, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure (Donor Services, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309).

She was born on October 11, 1940, in Washington, D.C., to the late Charles and Louise Leake. Ginger was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge and gardening. Ginger enjoyed the seasons and holidays and delighted in decorating for them. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family more than anything and her family adored Ginger in return. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Ginger is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Bob Ziegler; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Renee Ziegler; four daughters, Debbie Ziegler, Cindy Ziegler, Lisa Marlow and husband, Jeff Marlow, and Robin Ziegler; grandchildren, Josh Ziegler, Brittany Ziegler, Amber Belmore, Skyler Quintanilla, Cody Marlow, Trey Belmore, Jamie Basquez, Zac Ziegler and Matthew Marlow.
