Virginia P. Laurence's Obituary
Virginia P. Laurence, 80, of Cordova, TN, formerly of Effingham, died at 8:10 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Memphis Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Effingham and for a half hour before the funeral Wednesday afternoon. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Virginia was born March 19, 1931 in Martin, TN, the daughter of Willis and Flora (Tole) Cross. She married Marlyn R. "Bernie" Laurence on March 3, 1973. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Effingham.
Surviving are her son, Robert Peace of Millington, TN; daughter, Ann Ferrell of Cordova, TN; sister, Jean Webb of Effingham; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
