Vincent J. Huelsing, 75, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at his home in Teutopolis.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church with a 6:30 p.m. parish wake. Memorials may be made to H.S.H.S. St. Anthony Hospice or HSHS St. Anthony's Foundation.

Vincent was born April 12, 1940 in Effingham County, the son of Bernard and Marie (Kralman) Huelsing. Vincent served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. On January 16, 1965, he married Virginia "Ginny" Sneed and she survives. He was a salesman for Siemer Distributors for many years, as well as being a lifelong farmer. Vincent was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis and the Teutopolis American Legion Post #120. Vincent enjoyed goose and turkey hunting, playing pinochle; but most of all, spending time with his family. Vincent's favorite time of year was the spring and fall season, especially harvesting.
Vincent is survived by his wife, Ginny of Teutopolis; son, Scott (Judy) of Effingham; two daughters, Stacey (David) Huelsing-Dhein of Arvada, CO and Stephanie (Donavyn) Seay of Savoy; three granddaughters, Hannah, Ashley and Sidney; two sisters, Clarice (Joe) Groessl of Buffalo Grove and Patricia (Ken) Donnelly of Washington, MO; brother-in-law, Francis McDermott of St. Louis, MO and sister-in-law, Norma Jean Huelsing of Effingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Gene and two sisters, Collette Rickelman and Camille McDermott.
