Thomas Jerod "TJ" Davis, 35, entered new life Sunday, January 20, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to time of service, Monday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.

TJ was born February 4, 1983 in Mattoon, the son of George "Tom" and Debra (Loy) Davis. He was an auto enthusiast with the 1970 Blue Chevelle SS 454 IS6 with black racing strips being his favorite. TJ took his passion for automobiles into his work as a detailer and maintenance man for Dan Hecht Chevy/ Toyota. He also loved all music and the beauty of a wolf.

TJ leaves behind his parents of Watson; daughter, Ryley Marie Davis of Dieterich; sister, Amberlee (Bryan) Dorris of Watson; half-siblings, Marty (Eileen) Davis of Truth or Consequences, NM and Misty Davis of Watson; grandmother, Dorothy Faye Davis of Watson; nephew, Taygan Dorris and niece, Izabella Dorris; many friends including his honorary casket bearers, Jared Mayhaus, Sam Miller, Bryan Dorris, Taygan Dorris, Marty Davis, Blake Nation and Branden Davis.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, George J. Davis, Richard Winn and Earl S. Loy and his grandmother, Lulabelle Winn.
