Terry J. Roderick, 80 of Effingham, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Willowbrook in Effingham.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a 5:30 p.m. Elks memorial service. Burial will be held in St. Anthony Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to Shriners Club.

Terry was born February 3, 1943 in Mattoon, the son of Ralph and Della (Rairdon) Roderick. He married Patricia L. Brand on April 7, 1962 and she preceded him in death in 1995.

Terry loved golfing and was always up for a game of cards.  He was a lifetime Chicago Cubs fan as well as the Illini.  He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his sons, Kyle (Norma) of Watson and Kurt (Tracy) of Effingham; daughter, Andrea (Mark) Will of Effingham, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Roma Jane (Mike) Smyser of Windsor.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 brothers, Richard Roderick and Jack Roderick and 3 sisters, Marilyn Jean Hesse, Patricia McDuffey and Maye Butler.
