Taylor R. Matlock, 13 of Effingham, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Those attending are encouraged to wear Taylor's favorite color, purple. Memorial donations may be given to Taylor's family.

Taylor was born November 1, 2011 in Effingham, the daughter of Timothy Matlock and Ashley Renee Brothers. She was a 5th grader at Central Grade School in Effingham.

Taylor is survived by her father, Timothy of Effingham; grandmother, Tammy Katt of Effingham; sister, Destiny Spracklen of Effingham; uncle, Adam (Emma) Brothers of Mattoon; aunt, Bonny Brothers of Altamont; grandparents, Jerome (Laurie) Brothers of Mattoon; great-grandparents, Karolyn (Kenneth) Mastin of Shamrock, OK; her cousins, Dylan, Alexia, Marie, Peyton, and Aiden.

Taylor was preceded in death by her mother.
