Stanley Ray "Stan" Russell Sr, 65 of Effingham, died Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield surrounded by his wife and children.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, the family requests live plants or memorial donations to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.bauerfh.com.

Stan was born December 18th, 1956 to Kenneth and Ursula (Cole) Russell. Stan loved spending time with his wife, hunting with his daughter and grandkids, Aspen & Sebastian, and tinkering in his garage. He worked for Fedders, Speedco Truck Lube & helped open the first Joe's Truck Lube until retiring from Joe's in December 2021.

Stan married Anita "Sis" Stewart on April 25th, 2003. They were blessed with 7 children; Jaci Roley, Nick & Alex (Blair) Roley, Nessa (Roley) & Thomas Rehkemper, John (Kari) Russell, Stephanie Ring, Stan Jr. (Kayla) Russell and Amy (Russell) & Nick Crear; 14 grandchildren & 1 great- grandchild.

Stan is survived by his wife, children, 2 brothers; Daniel (Lenora) Russell & Kenneth (Francis) Russell Jr and 3 sisters; Sheila Rebhorn, Janet Paterson & Louann Russell.

He is preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Ray & aunt, Adeline Flowers and grandson, Dakota Ring.
