Shirley M. Watts Brown, 65, passed away at 4:18 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at her home in Effingham, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with visitation being held for two hours prior to services, Saturday at the funeral home. In the lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in care of Shirley's family.

Shirley was born March 18, 1951 in Effingham, the daughter of Calvin and Alberta (Flowers) Russel. She married Chris A. Brown on June 4, 2011 and he survives.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Chris of Effingham; two sons, Andy (Melissa) Finke of Beecher City and Craig Finke of Cowden; daughter, Tamara (Chad) Gelsinger of Effingham; twenty two grandchildren, Autumn, Savannah, Payton, McKynzie, Donald, Andrew, Allan, Heather, Courtney, Chelsie, Anthony, Bryttinee, Kaytlyn, Chelsie, Ashley, Johnathan, Atlanta, Cobie, Brantley, Derek, Matt and Melanie; twenty great-grandchildren Jax, Braiden, Carson, Carter, Kennon, Amelia, Emma, Aiden, Jacob, Racheal, Jordan, Kalie, Ashlynn, Isabella, Dominic, Memphis, Leland, Rylan, Makenna and Maddie; five sisters, Betty Smith of Newton, Linda (Terry) Ochs of Oblong, Florence (Dennis) Thomas of New Phildepha, Brenda (Richard Jr.) Mason of Bushnell and Sharon Russel of Bushnell; three brothers, James (Teresa) Russell of Sheridan, Gary (Lana) Russell of Bushnell and Wayne (Lena) Russell of Willowhill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant grandson, James Ryan; two great-granddaughters, Charlie Rose and Shiann; great-grandson, Phoniex and brother, Harold Dean Russell.
