Shirley L. Shadwell's Obituary
Shirley L. Shadwell, 76, of Effingham, passed away at 10:42 p.m., Monday, August 29, 2011 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with private burial at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until time of service, Friday evening at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the donor's choice.
Shirley was born May 30, 1935 in Effingham, the daughter of Arnold and Cora (Boerngen) Ziegler. She married Frank Shadwell on January 1, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1991. Shirley was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham.
She is survived by two sons, Les (Reba) of Teutopolis and Glenn of Newton; one sister, Deloris Williams of Champaign; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frank.
