Shirley M. Longwell's Obituary
Shirley M. Longwell, 79, of Effingham, passed away at 6:10 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2011 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
Shirley was born on April 21, 1932 in Altamont, the daughter of Edgar and Lydia (Silsky) Hoffmeister. She married Kenneth W. Longwell on August 23, 1958. Shirley was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Effingham.
Shirley is survived by one son, John (Tammy) of Effingham; one daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Robertson of Altamont; sister, Arlene Sundin of Springfield; seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
