Sheila M. Jansen, 63, passed away peacefully Monday morning, January 21, 2019 in the comfort of her own room at the CSS - K C House in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Rose Cemetery in Montrose. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Community Support Systems.

Sheila came into this world on July 13, 1955 in Effingham, the youngest of 7 children born to the late Frank and Mary F. (Fruchtl) Jansen of Island Grove.Sheila leaves behind her sisters, Judy Loafman, Kathy (Bill) McClain and Janet (Mick) Pierson, all of Effingham, Lynn Stremming of Jacksonville and Sue (Dick) Bushue of Island Grove; brother, Jerry (Peg) Jansen of Effingham.

Sheila will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the country. Also mourning her passing are the many employees and patrons of Community Support Systems in Teutopolis.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law, Vern Loafman, Gene Stremming and Playford McManaway.

Sheila's family would like to thank the staff of Hospice and all the dedicated staff at K C House, and CSS, whose comfort for Sheila is deeply appreciated.
