Shawn D. Snell, 36, passed away Friday July 8, 2016 at his home in Effingham.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with visitation being held for two hours prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Shawn was born on February 12, 1980 in Effingham, the son of Richard Snell and Cindy (Guthrie) Morrison. He is survived by his parents, both of Effingham; three sisters, Carrie Snell (fiancé, Jerry Shadwell) of Effingham, Hattie (Benji) Rine of Vandalia and Sherry Guthrie of Effingham; three brothers, Brian Levitt of Effingham, Jerry Levitt (fiancé, Angela Vincent) of Effingham and Jerry Dean Guthrie of Mattoon; eighteen nieces and nephews; two great-nephews and one great-niece.
