Sharon K. Likovic, 70 of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Effingham, passed away at 2:10 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2012 at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a 7:00 p.m. parish rosary. Memorials may be made to Shiners Children's Hospital or donor's choice.
Sharon was born October 15, 1941 in Effingham, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Hakman) Dust. She married Jerry M. Likovic on July 23, 1977 and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2007. Sharon was full of life and a kid at heart. She was a loving wife, lived for her grandchildren and sacrificed her own plans and dreams for those of her children. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Sharon is survived by two sons, Steve (Jamie) Swartzwelder of Rosamond, CA and Lon J. (Marie) Swartzwelder of Effingham; two daughters, Courtney (Chad) Keller of Batesville, Arkansas and Julieanne Raymond of Chicago; six grandchildren, Shannon Swartzwelder, Amy Petrilli, Mandy English, Steven Swartzwelder, Alex Keller and Logan Witte; two great grandchildren, Amelia and Jeven Petrelli ; brother, Richard (Karen) Dust of Effingham and sister, Sheila Johnson of Osceola, AR.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jerry.
