Scott A. Linton, 45, passed away Wednesday evening, January 20, 2016 at his home in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott Linton Memorial Fund.

Scott was born on November 26, 1970 in Danville, the son of Peggy Linton. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and cheering on the Chicago Bears, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Scott was the manager at the Denny's restaurant in Effingham.

Scott is survived by his son, Adyn Linton; sister, Tammy Linton (Jeff Myers); brother, Steve (Melissa) Linton; two step-daughters, Robin and Elizabeth Cavanaugh and three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Scott was preceded in death by his daughter, Aundrea Renee Linton; his mother, Peggy and grandparents.
