Ruby L. Harris, 92 of Montrose, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Crossroots Church in Effingham with burial in Montrose Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to the time of service, Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Montrose Fire Department.

Ruby was born March 19, 1930 in Montrose, the daughter of Elmer and Anna (Faber) Browning. She married Robert D. "Bob" Harris on February 25, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2008.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Robin (Tim) Apple; grandchildren, Hannah Apple and Joel (Liz) Apple, along with her precious nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Carl and Barney; sisters, Sally and Nadine.
