Roy N. Rodgers, 81, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at his home in Effingham.

Per Roy's wishes, cremation rites were accorded and no services will be held.

Roy was born September 29, 1940 in Olney, the son of Truman and Nora E. (Smith) Rodgers. He married Mary B. "Bonnie" Sweeton on November 30, 1963 and she preceded him in death in 2019. He was a press operator at Fedders Corp. in Effingham for many years. Roy was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles and an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan.

Roy is survived by his sons, Jeff (Kristen) of Effingham, Jim (Darlene) of Bloomington, and John (Christine) of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Bonnie.
