Rose Marie Boggs, 69, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at her home in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham with entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to time of service, Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the St. Anthony Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Rose was born March 8, 1952 in Effingham, the daughter of the late Charles "Virgil" and Anna Mae (Knierim) Barr. She married Levi Boggs on June 13, 1970. Rose was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham, as well as a member and past president of the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary.

Rose is survived by her husband, Levi; children, William (Joyce) Boggs, Jeff Boggs and Leslie Boggs; grandchildren, Alex Boggs, Samantha (Mitchell) Hoedebecke, Dylan (Lexie) Boggs, Brianne (Dalyn) Brach, Ethan Boggs, Curran Boggs, Rylan Boggs and Emerson Boggs; great-grandchildren, Leland Whitford, Ellie Boggs, Elizabeth Boggs, Kyler Hoedebecke, Wyatt Hoedebecke, Dawson Hoedebecke, Easton Boggs and Jensen Brach; siblings, Donald (Nancy) Barr, Allen (Jeanette) Barr, Linda (Malcom) Smart, David (Joyce) Barr, Debbie (Jim) Barr and Charles Barr.
