Rosalie A. Bersig, 84, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at her home in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Windsor Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Rosalie was born March 24, 1931 in Jerseyville, the daughter of Orval and Jewell (Rose) Baker. She was a daycare provider for many years.

Rosalie is survived by her son, Steve Bersig of Seattle, WA; five daughters, Carol (Roger) Behrens of Rantoul, Debbie Bersig of Champaign, Linda (Rick) Seager of Arvada, CO, Janet (Terry) Charles of Champaign and Peggy (Lola) Bersig of Champaign; sister, Marilyn Pruemer of Effingham; sister-in-law, Darlene Baker of Effingham; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Baker; sister, Betty Rhodes and brother-in-law, Jerry Pruemer.
