Ronald L. Ordner, 73 of Mattoon, formerly of Teutopolis, passed away Friday evening, August 4, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to time of mass, Wednesday morning at the church, in the St. Clair Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness or Catholic Charities.

Ronald was born October 25, 1943 in Effingham, the son of John G. and Mary E. (Hoene) Ordner. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis.

Ronald is survived by his three brothers, Robert (Jane) of Teutopolis, Tom (Susan) of Sigel and Jim (Jeanne) of Teutopolis; nieces and nephews, Tim Ordner, Sarah Ordner Miller, Kristie Ordner, Jason Ordner, Matt Ordner, Elizabeth Ordner Cassin, Chris Ordner, Alicia Ordner Schmidt, Dustin Ordner, Shannon Ordner Huber, Jaime Ordner Bloemer and Jacob Ordner; several great-nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Tommy Ordner.
