Ronald C. "Ron" Mauck, 78, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2014 at his Lake Sara residence.

A time of fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham followed by a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Ron will be laid to rest near his wife, Dorothy in Greenup Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Ron was born November 27, 1935 in Calumet City, the son of George and Lillian Mauck. He served in the United States Navy and later married Dorothy (Havens) Chrysler on May 25, 1964 in Greenville. She preceded him in death in 2006.

Ron and his wife opened the Dorothy Chrysler School of Beauty Culture in downtown Effingham in 1964 and Ron was an instructor at the school until his passing. He will be greatly missed.
