Ronald L. Burke Jr., 57 of Lake Sara, was born on December 18, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio to Ronald "Stoney" and Nancy Burke. Ronald gained his angel wings on May 14, 2020 at 10:14 a.m. Ron was incredibly hard working and accomplished anything he set his mind to. Ronald was a die-hard Ohio State Buckeye fan with a big heart and amazing soul. He grew up loving to play basketball, and as the years progressed, he found a love for bowling and slot machines. There was nothing that stopped him from being an incredible husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, and friend.

Ron is survived by his wife Beverly Burke; mother, Nancy Burke; daughters, Jenna (D.J.) Orsborn, Janelle (Luke) Schuette, Joni Burke (Jordan Schwankhaus) and Stephanie Burke (Sajal Agarwal); grandchildren, Owen, Lavin, Aubrey, Kenlie, Kallan and Hugo; mother-in-law, Ginger Stark; sisters, Pam (Joe) Workman, Cindy (Dave) Gaddey and Renee Schoenfeld; and further survived by all nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald "Stoney" Burke; daughter, Patricia Burke; father-in-law, James Stark and brother-in-law, Brett Schoenfeld.

Memorial donations may be given to the Cancer Centers of America, located in Zion, Illinois. Donations and flowers will be accepted at Bauer Funeral Home, ℅ Burke Memorial, 1212  W. Evergreen, Effingham, IL 62401.

Private family services will be held with entombment in Arborcrest Memorial Park in Effingham.
