Roger R. Hamilton's Obituary
Roger R. Hamilton, 72 of Sigel, passed away Wednesday morning, July 12, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Sigel, with military graveside rites. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice. Roger was born November 29, 1944 in Effingham, the son of Ray and Bernadine (Westjohn) Hamilton. In 1962, he graduated from Neoga High School and later served with the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. Following his military service, Roger worked at Fedders Corporation, Meyers Trucking and then farmed for many years. He was a long time member of St. Michael's the Archangel Catholic Church in Sigel.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Corinna (Michael) McChuen of Channahon. He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, Raymond, Schwermine.
