Robert P. "Bob" Hille, 82, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 at his home in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Sacred Heart School. Bob was born September 13, 1943 in Effingham, the son of George J. and Velma E. (Buchanan) Hille. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham. Bob worked for John Boos and later was a groundskeeper for Milikin University.

Bob is survived by his sister-in-law, Phyllis of rural Dieterich.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donald C. "Donnie" and John M. "Jack" Hille.
