Richard Wayne Tirevold, 64, of Watson passed away peacefully Friday, April 26th at his home.

Richard was born October 7th, 1954 in Aurora, Illinois to Leslie & Lillian Tirevold. He was a retired carpenter from the Local Carpenters Union, avid outdoorsman, loved sports, and touched many lives with his outgoing personality and generosity.

He is survived by 2 sons, Jeff (Jodi) Tirevold of Shumway and Paul (Christy) McCracken of Marquette Heights; daughter Debbie (Jeremy) Bertiaux of Effingham; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 5 brothers, Gary (Becky) of Ottawa, Ted of Sheridan, Scott of Chicago, Kurt (Laura) of Sheridan, Karl (Julie) of Somonauk; 3 sisters, Eileen (Azaka Ajakanju) Bellabe of Evanston, Kristina Westvig of Sheridan, Darlene Sebby of Sandwich; significant other Phylis Decker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Lillian; 2 brothers, David and Randall; 1 sister, Jane Payne.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, May 4th from 1-4pm at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham, Illinois. Burial services with friends and family will be held in Sheridan, Illinois at the Sheridan Cemetery May 11th at 10:00am with luncheon to follow at Sheridan United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the family in lieu of flowers.
