Rene E. Fearday, 75 of Effingham, passed away on October 5, 2016 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at St. Anthony Cemetery, Effingham. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
Rene was born October 1, 1941 in Effingham, the son of Vernon and Genevieve (Willenborg) Fearday. He served with the Special Forces of the United States Army.
Rene is survived by his three brothers, Charles D. Fearday of Effingham, Vernon R. "Dick" Fearday of Atlanta, GA and Keith (Diana) Fearday of Neoga; seven sisters, Mary Revel of McKenzie, TN, Lynn Ann (Danny) Davis of Watson, Cindy (Nort) Borre of Effingham, Ellen Fearday of Savoy, Juanita (Donny) Henson of Gleason, TN, Faye Young of Teutopolis and Amy Fearday of Effingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
