Ralph F. Pike, 78, of Effingham died at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Effingham, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Pike was born Nov. 10, 1932, in Effingham, the son of Joseph and Emma (Hoelscher) Pike. He married Anna Mae Willenborg on Aug. 27, 1960.
He served an enlisted term with the U.S. Army and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Effingham and American Legion Post 120, Effingham.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae of Effingham; sons, Curt (Frances) of St. Charles, Mo., and Ronald (Nila) of Mason; daughter, Lori (James) Rutledge of Effingham; sister, Mary Broom of Effingham; half sisters, Margaret Hanfland of Effingham and Gertrude Perry of Granite City; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Tom, Jason and Hannah Pike and Nicole Rutledge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold; three half brothers, Joe, Harry and Tony; and two half sisters, Caroline Braun and Pauline McKinney.
