Rachael Lynn Stephens

Rachael Lynn Stephens, 33, of Effingham, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2026 in Denver, Colorado.

A private family service celebrating Rachael’s life will be held at a later date.

Rachael was born on August 30, 1993 to Tim Stephens & Lisa Kingery, and attended Effingham schools. Rachael was a carefree person who enjoyed all things: art, music and adventure. Rachael’s life included struggles that were often difficult and painful. These challenges affected not only her, but also those who loved her. Regardless of the difficulties she faced, Rachael was deeply loved. She experienced joy, made meaningful memories, and touched the lives of those around her. She mattered greatly, and her life held value and meaning to the people who knew and loved her. She was most proud of her children Russell, Molly and Raini.

Rachael is survived by her parents, Tim (Julie) Stephens and Lisa (Andrea) Zini; her children, Russell and Raini; half-siblings Danielle (Jonathan) Sager and Tanner, Alexis, Alayna, Carlena, Quentin & Sydney Stephens, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Molly Stephens; grandparents, Carol Stephens, Richard “Dick” Day, Charles Stroud, Charles and Linda Murray, and Uncle Rick & Aunt Laura Ogolini.
