Pauline was born March 19, 1919 in rural Sigel, the daughter of George and Vera (Bruns) Sehi. She married John Clair "Whitey" Hardiek of Teutopolis on May 14, 1940 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Montrose. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1994.

Pauline began her working career at Modern Cleaners as a seamstress from 1951 through 1974, when the store closed its doors. Pauline was president of St. Ann's Sodality in 1964 and taught 7th grade religion for 7 years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, as well as the St. Francis Council of Catholic Women.

Pauline loved to cook and bake and bring the family together for every occasion. She was famous for her sugar cookies and sweet rolls. She loved to travel and was able to fulfill her dream of going to Rome and vacation to Israel to walk where Jesus walked.

Pauline is survived by her three children, Nancy Lou (Robert) Pals of Teutopolis, Eugene Clair (Cathy Donoho) of Dixon and Carolyn (the late, Jim) Fearday of Royal Palm Beach, FL; brother, Bill Sehi of Sigel; 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Ray, Robert and Carl Sehi; sister, Genevieve "Jenny" Schniederjon; brother-in-law, Frank Schniederjon; sister-in-law, Janet Sehi and son-in-law, James Fearday.

Pauline was a very kind-hearted and loving mother, grandmother and friend who had a smile for everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
