Paul A. Verdeyen's Obituary
Paul A. Verdeyen, 53 of Mattoon, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Teutopolis. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services, Monday afternoon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Paul was born July 31, 1960 in Effingham, the son of John and Elvira (Hartke) Verdeyen.
He is survived by his father, John of Teutopolis; two sons, Tony of Mt. Vernon and Troy of Mason; brother, John of Neoga; sister, Karen M. (Doug) Baur of Jacksonville and half-sister, Angela (Dennis) Shoot of Effingham.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Elvira.
Special thanks to the staff and residents of Mattoon Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for their care and compassion for Paul.
