Patsy J. Willis, 73, of Effingham passed away at 2:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her family in her home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Patsy was born on June 7, 1937, to Dan and Ola (McAllister) Holland. She was the youngest of four children. She married Herman E. Willis on Nov. 6, 1954, in Effingham.
Patsy and her husband, Herman, owned the Munch-n-ette Café in downtown Effingham from 1980 to 1992. Patsy most loved the time she spent with her family. She was also a lover of music and actively participated in jam sessions throughout the Effingham area.
She loved meeting new people and spending time with old friends. In addition, Patsy enjoyed crocheting and playing pinochle, canasta and pool online with friends throughout the United States.
In her passing she leaves behind her husband, Herman; and her seven children, Susan Grunloh of Shumway, Deborah Willis of Shumway, Herman "Junior" Willis (fiance, Shelley Wallace) of Effingham, Jayne Green (husband, Bob) of Newton, Kevin Willis (wife, Dena) of Effingham, Karen "Kay" Hartke (husband, Karl) of Effingham and Darla England (husband, Dave) of Effingham; two sisters, Germaine Scott of Beecher City and Peggy Ballinger of Lake Sara; 11 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Herbert Holland.
