Patrick L. Mayhaus, 62 of Dieterich, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Rose Cemetery, Montrose, at a later date. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to the time of service, Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.

Patrick was born June 25, 1960 in Chicago, the son of Mathias E. "Matt" and Helen M. (Stuckey) Mayhaus. He married Tracy Jo Hayes on August 20, 1981. Patrick served with the United States Army and worked at The Folding Bleacher Company in Altamont.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Tracy of Dieterich; son, Mark (Macy) of Teutopolis; daughter, Chasity of Dieterich; brother, Mike of Effingham; grandchildren, Madilynn and Marshal.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Matthew.
