Patrick J. Curry, 72 of Stewardson, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Stewardson Cemetery, Stewardson, with military graveside rites. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to the donor's choice.

Patrick was born December 21, 1946 in Effingham, the son of Robert and Betty (Wendt) Curry Mietzner. He married Lina C. LaLomia on October 6, 1973. Patrick served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War with the United States Marines and was a supervisor for 30 years at International Paper in Shelbyville.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Lina of Stewardson; son, Carmelo (Julie) Micciancio of Hord; daughters, Amy (Dale) Doty of Beecher City and Melissa (Brian) Quast of Stewardson; brother, Mike (Joyce) Curry of Effingham and sister, Gean Tabbert (Lyle McKinney) of Stewardson; grandchildren, Dylan Doty, Kortney Doty, Madison Quast, Isabella Doty, Austin Micciancio, Trevor Quast and Bryce Micciancio; great-grandson, Braxton Rohmann.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and mother & father-in-law, Alfonso and Carmelina LaLomia.
