Patricia P. West, 93 of Effingham, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with Pastor Jim Giffin officiating. Burial will follow in Loy Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to the time of service, Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to the 40/8 Nursing Scholarship and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Patricia was born August 2, 1932 in Champaign, the daughter of Otis and Floris (Gillespie) Hudson. She married John West on January 1, 1956 and he preceded her in death in 1988.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Terry (Margie) and Thomas (April); daughters, Becky (Mick) Deters, Robin (Dennis) Hostetter, and Rhonda (Mark) Mitchell; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and sister, Pam (Darren) Franzen.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven; and brother, Phillip Hudson; sister, Phyllis Shelmadine; and two granddaughters.
