Nathaniel D. "Nate" Ebbert, 22 of Effingham, passed away Friday morning, September 9, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Island Creek Cemetery, rural Jasper County. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Nate was born June 17, 1994 in Effingham, the son of Todd and Celia (Combs) Ebbert. He excelled at baseball and played on an all-star baseball team for 5 years. After that, he took up skateboarding and participated in numerous skateboard contests.

Nate is survived by his parents of Effingham; sister, Haley and brother, Austin, both of Effingham; maternal grandparents, Ronald Sr. and Cynthia Combs of Olney; paternal grandparents, Warren and Betty Ebbert of Wheeler; special friend, Alexis Miller of Effingham.
