Naomi Mae Funneman, 87, of Paxton, formerly of Effingham passed away at 9:25 a.m., Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Heartland Healthcare in Paxton, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park, west of Effingham. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service, Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Naomi was born June 7, 1924 in Effingham County, the daughter of Albert and Helen (Bergfeld) Schoenhoff. She married Norbert E. Funneman on October 14, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1998. Naomi was a homemaker and had also worked at Best Homes in Effingham and as a barber at the former Bobber Truckstop in Effingham.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie (David) Huddleston of Mahomet; four granddaughters, Brittany (Mick Shaw), Jennifer Huddleston, Melinda (Joe) Asselin and Breanne (Tony) Bellagamba, along with 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, John "Jack" Schoenhoff of Hord and Gary (Dolores) Schoenhoff of Effingham; one sister, Maxine Dixon of Effingham.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Norbert.
