Minnie A. Luchtefeld's Obituary
Minnie A. Luchtefeld, 99 of Effingham, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. A C.C.W. rosary will be held at 4:00 p.m., followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, Minnie's family has requested that memorials be made to St. Anthony Schools.
Minnie was born December 12, 1915 in Green Creek, the daughter of John and Anna (Ruholl) Doedtman. She married Clem J. Luchtefeld on January 25, 1940 in Green Creek and he preceded her in death in 1981. Minnie was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham and the St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women.
Minnie is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clem; three brothers, Andrew, Lawrence, Ralph and two sisters, Irene and Clara.
