Malinda C. "Mindy" Reardon, 44 of Effingham, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with private burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
*Everyone is asked to dress casually and wear pink, as it was her favorite color.
Mindy was born September 25, 1979 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Jeannie (Kreke) Funneman and Lanny Randolph. In her youth, she enjoyed all types of sports and was a talented dancer, doing competitive dance which later led to her involvement in the school cheer team. Mindy was a graduate of Effingham High School in 1997. She was a medical administrative assistant for the Prairie Heart Institute at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Mindy was an avid walker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a dedicated mother to her two boys, Robert and Trent. She loved making memories with her boys: attending their wrestling matches, playing games, building LEGOs, and watching football. Her boys were her entire world.
Mindy is survived by her sons, Robert and Trent, both of Effingham; parents, Jeannie (Wayne) Funneman of Teutopolis; father, Lanny Randolph of Effingham; brother, Toby (Nicole) Randolph of Fishers, Indiana; sisters, Dana (Chris) Eley, Casey (Andy) Burgholzer, Cathy (Luke) Hayes, all of Effingham, and her 6 nephews and 4 nieces.
She was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, and her aunt, Susan Meyer.
