Mildred F. "Millie" Thoele, 87, of Teutopolis died at 9:40 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church with a 7 p.m. Council of Catholic Women rosary. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Millie was born Aug. 15, 1924, in the Lillyville area, the daughter of Ben and Elizabeth (Goldstein) Ruholl. She married Paul A. Thoele on Oct. 5, 1946.

Millie was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis, and St. Francis Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by her husband, Paul of Teutopolis; sons, Jerry (wife, Fran) of Teutopolis, Larry (wife, Barb) of Teutopolis, Linus (wife, Cate) of Teutopolis and Tony (wife, Sue) of Dieterich; daughters, Ruth (George) Kerner of Newton, Kate (Rick) Koester of Teutopolis and Jean (Rick) Schumacher of Teutopolis; brothers, Bernie (wife, Dorothy) Ruholl of Teutopolis, Ambrose (wife, Agnes) Ruholl of Teutopolis and Allie (wife, Dorothy) Ruholl of Teutopolis; brother-in-law, Tony Zens of Mitchell, S.D.; 28 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Alison Thoele and Jeff Kerner; three sisters, Della Ruholl, Alice Ruholl and Florence Bushur; one brother, Henry; sister-in-law, Leona Zens; and two brothers-in law, Louis Bushur and Ralph (Deloris) Thoele.
