Mildred C. "Millie" Dust, 91, of Bridgeton, Missouri, formerly of Effingham, passed away at 1:38 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Sarah Community Facility in Bridgeton, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at St. Anthony of Padua Cathoic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 30, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a 6:30 p.m. rosary and prayer service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Millie was born October 6, 1919 in Effingham, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Braun) Hoette. She married Leonard H. Dust on June 3, 1947 and preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham and the St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women. Millie was also a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Effingham Country Club and was a Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Nadina) of Wildwood, MO, Charles (Elaine) of Taylorville; two daughters, Anita (Ken) Holmes of Maryville and Sr. Carol Jean Dust, SSND of Rome, Italy; 7 grandchildren.
Millie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; two sisters, Lola Pottebaum and Margaret Hoette.
