Michael H. Zerrusen, age 67 of Teutopolis, gained his angel wings on May 20, 2020 at his residence.

Private family services will be held with inurnment at St. Francis Cemetery columbarium in Teutopolis. Memorial donations may be given to Crossroads Cancer Center and will be accepted by mail at the funeral home: 1212 West Evergreen Avenue, Effingham, IL 62401

Michael was born on October 20, 1952, in Effingham, to Norbert and Vera Zerrusen. The most important thing in life to Michael was spending time with his kids and grandkids. Michael spent the majority of his time over the road, as a logistical truck driver providing for his family. In his early years, he enjoyed mushroom hunting, bird hunting, cooking specialty meals and spending quality time with his kids and grandkids in the family garden.

Michael is survived by his his five kids, Michael (Larissa) Zerrusen, Jeremy (Shannon) Zerrusen, April Zerrusen, Michelle "Shelley" Zerrusen, and Henry (Johanna) Zerrusen; grandkids, Dylan, Dalton, Abby, Kayden, Kayleigh, Ryley, Karson, and Zoey; siblings Vera "Lynne" Lidster, Stephen (Kate) Zerrusen, Patrick Zerrusen, Timothy (Carolyn) Zerrusen, Rebecca (Dave) Tedrick, Jeanine "Jeannie" Miller, Tammy (Jeffrey) Douthit, and Jeffrey Zerrusen; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Jane and Penelope; brother-in-law, Bill Lidster.
