Michael Lee Wendte, 60, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at his home in Effingham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham where Michael was a member.

Michael was born June 21, 1961 in Effingham, the son of Howard and Sandra (Ramsey) Wendte. He served an enlistment with the United States Army and worked many years in the pressroom at Quebecor in Effingham. Michael married Elaine Brooks on February 14, 2016.

Michael is survived by his wife, Elaine of Effingham; parents, Howard and Sandra of Dieterich; brothers, Brad (Brandi) of Dieterich and James of Escondido, CA and sister, Cathy Sue Wendte of Arvada, CO.
