Matthew 'Matt" Damon Daume, 52, of Teutopolis, IL, passed away on December 27, 2024.

Born March 26, 1972, in Vandalia, he was the beloved son of Yvonne Wagner Daume and the late Stoy Daume. He will be missed by his daughter Kelsey (Zachary) Morrison, grandsons Liam, Elijah, and Killian; brother Paul Daume; brother Mike (Ciara) Daume, and their children, Lynlie and Lincoln; He is also survived by Candy Daume, and her son, Colten (Janae) Brown and their children, Henleigh and Josie.

Matt loved spending time with his brothers, and took pride in being an uncle and grandfather. He was a friendly and outgoing person, always welcoming neighbors and friends to stop by. Matt loved creating and discussing music, and through it, he built many lasting friendships. Known for his adventurous spirit, he cherished side-by-side rides with friends and made the most of every moment. Matt spent much of his recent years with the Elks Lodge, where he helped with fundraisers, and supported his community. A steadfast friend, he was always quick to lend a hand or share a laugh.
