Mary C. Fuesting's Obituary
Mary C. Fuesting, 93 of Teutopolis, passed away at 10:20 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at The Glenwood in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at the church with a parish prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mary was born March 9, 1920 in rural Teutopolis, the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Dust) Heuerman. She married Edward A. Fuesting on February 18, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1993. Mary was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, St. Francis Council of Catholic Women, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Third Order of St. Francis. She was also a member of the Effingham County Home Extension.
Mary is survived by her five sons, John (Priscilla) of Collinsville, Ron (Deb) of Sorrento, FL, Mike (Kathy) of Danville, Tom (Mary) of Teutopolis and Tim (Joyce) of Thorntown, IN; five daughters, Eileen (Jackie) Peters of Gallatin, TN, Marilyn Brown of Woodburn, KY, Norma (John) Ellis of Willowbrook, Joan Fuesting (friend, Lyle) of Effingham and Jane (Dan) Sudkamp of St. Louis, MO; brother, Bill Heuerman (special friend, Vi); 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; son, Donald and daughter, Carol Burger.
