Marvin E. Higgenbotham, 83 of Farina, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

A visitation will be held at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 2, 2025 with burial in Brown Cemetery, Edgewood, at a later date.

Marvin was born May 5, 1942 in Effingham, the son of Bernard and Vesta (Shadwell) Higgenbotham. He married Ruby Hites on ­­­­­­April 7, 1979 and she preceded him in death in 2017.

Marvin is survived by one daughter, Marlena McCoy (Kevin Williams Jr.) of Watson, IL, two granddaughters Autumn McCoy of Neoga, IL, Ashlee McCoy (Chris Gibson) of Watson IL, and two Great-Grandsons Kylar Lemons and Leo Lemons, both of Neoga, IL. And several other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and wife, Ruby.
