Martha M. Repking's Obituary
Martha M. Repking, 91 of Effingham, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. A 4:00 p.m. C.C.W. rosary will be held, followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Martha was born May 4, 1924 in Effingham, the daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Koelsch) Knabe. She married Raymond J. "Ray" Repking on April 10, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2005. Martha was employed in the accounting department of Fedders Corporation and later at Samuel Music Company for fifteen years.
Martha is survived by her two sons, Richard J. (Linda) of Effingham and David A. (Louise) of Teutopolis; two daughters, Karen A. (James) Buhnerkempe and Cathy L. (Bernard) Wesselman, both of Effingham; sister, Genevieve Bunker of Effingham; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Knabe of Knoxville, TN and Mary Knabe of Effingham; thirteen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Al and Jim and an infant grandson.
