Marlene L. Burton, 63, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at her home in Dieterich.

Private family services will be held at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.

Marlene was born December 24, 1955 in Mattoon, the daughter of Charles J. and Agnes K. (Kaufman) Walk. She married Alan Burton in 1976.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Alan of Dieterich; son, Lucas (Edie Duzan) of Dieterich; siblings, Jo Ann (Dick) Sutton of Sebring, FL, Sue (Ron) White of Effingham, Doris Walk Johnson of Effingham, Vera (Dr. Charles) Runde of Teutopolis, Art (Penny) Walk of Neoga, Bonnie (Dennis) Siebert of Effingham, Delores (Dave) Pals of Beecher City, Stan (Debbi) Walk of Georgetown, IN, Bev (Dave) Awalt of Effingham and Kevin (Amy) Walk of Momence.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles "Chuck" Walk.
