Mark R. Kenter, 68, passed away Wednesday morning, October 10, 2018 at his home in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the church. Memorial donations may be given to the Effingham Sportmans Club - Youth Program. Mark was born June 30, 1950 in Effingham, the son of Robert and Anna (Gregorie) Kenter. He was a certified public accountant, enjoyed hunting and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan of Effingham; daughters, Jen (Steve) Frisbie of Effingham and Laura (Tim) Gorski of Bolingbrook; sons, Matt (Bridget) of Chicago and Ned (Sunita) of Crystal Lake; brothers, Gary Kenter of Morehead, NC, Bob Kenter of Effingham and Henry (Angie) Kenter of Effingham; grandchildren, Elliot, Gianna and Hannah Frisbie, Parker, Hayden and Riley Gorski, Oliver "Gus" Kenter and Kameelah Kenter.

Mark was preceded in death by parents.
